My first ever green treefrog

While we where at Huntley Meadows park, we found a lot of green treefrogs on the weeds around the swamp. This is my first one on the picture above. I found it when I was examining a clump of swamp bushes. It was small, about 1 and a half centimeters. After my first one, we found many more.

Green treefrogs are medium sized treefrogs that live on low vegetation, high grass, and sometimes small trees. Their breeding season is in early fall. To not get eaten they can camouflage on green leaves. They are not always pure green, but they can be a combination of yellow and light green. Blue mutants also exist. They do not always croak, but can make a rapid beeping sound. Find out more here.
