A Bolivian boto is a river dolphin that lives in the Amazon river that flows through Bolivia. Once thought to be a subspecies of the Amazon river dolphin, now it is considered its own species. 5 million years ago, they became isolated from other river dolphins by 240 miles of waterfalls, and they could not mate with them and they became a separate species.
They were not counted, so we do not know it is endangered or not. They are very hard to find, so there are not many pictures.
It eats river bottom dwelling fish and crabs. It is gray and pink in color and has a strange dorsal fin and strange beak shape. It is my favorite river dolphin.
